10-year Guarantee Terms – Subject to works carried out and advice followed.

In some cases, where advice on specific works has not been  followed a guarantee will not be provided.

Please keep the original copy of your invoice and  Guarantee Statement.

Terms & Conditions

1. Guarantee Provider

This guarantee is provided by ALT Property Development Ltd (ALT Roofing), registered in England & Wales under company number 16897147, whose registered office is 71-75

SHELTON STREET COVENT GARDEN LONDON UNITED KINGDOM WC2H 9JQ

(“the Company”).

2. Guarantee Holder

This guarantee applies to the original customer named on the invoice (“the Client”) and the property where the works were completed.

 3. Guarantee Period

The Company guarantees the roofing work carried out for a period of 10 years from the date of completion as stated on the final invoice (“the Guarantee Period”).

4. Scope of the Guarantee

This guarantee covers defects in workmanship directly attributable to work carried out by the Company, including: Incorrect installation of roofing materials Faulty fixing methods, and poor workmanship leading to water ingress.

Where such defects arise during the Guarantee Period, the Company will, at its discretion,  repair or rectify the affected area at no cost for labour and materials.

 5. What Is Not Covered

This guarantee does not cover:

a) Materials defects covered by manufacturer warranties
b) Fair wear and tear
c) Storm damage, extreme weather, flooding, lightning or other acts of God
d) Accidental damage, vandalism or misuse
e) Structural movement, subsidence or settlement of the building
f) Blocked gutters or poor maintenance
g) Work altered, repaired or interfered with by third parties
h) Pre-existing defects not identified or included in the original scope of works
i) Condensation issues not caused by defective workmanship

 6. Maintenance Requirement

The Client is responsible for reasonable maintenance of the roof, including: Keeping gutters and drainage clear, and promptly reporting any issues. Failure to maintain the roof may invalidate this guarantee.

 7. Inspection & Access

The Company reserves the right to: Inspect the roof before approving any claim, require safe and reasonable access to the property.

No liability will arise where access is refused or unsafe.

 8. Claim Procedure

To make a claim, the Client must:

Notify the Company in writing within a reasonable time of discovering the issue. Provide proof of original work (invoice/receipt).

Allow inspection prior to any repair works being carried out.

Unauthorised repairs by third parties may invalidate the guarantee.

9. Limitation of Liability

The Company’s liability under this guarantee is limited to the cost of repair of the defective work only.

The Company shall not be liable for: Consequential or indirect losses, Internal damage, decoration or personal belongings.

Nothing in this guarantee limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any rights that cannot be excluded under UK law.

10. Transferability

This guarantee is non-transferable, unless expressly agreed in writing by the Company.

11. Company Status

This guarantee remains valid only as long as the Company continues to trade. This is not an insurance-backed guarantee unless expressly stated otherwise.

12. Statutory Rights

This guarantee is provided in addition to the Client’s statutory rights under UK consumer law and does not affect those rights.

 13. Governing Law

This guarantee is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and  Wales.
